Can a recovery mobile phone number be used across all users… 1 primary and 3 secondary?

We are locked out of our e-mail, Monday will be a week.  I am going to call CSA Monday morning to see if they can help us.  I want to have everything in place for the call.

We are elderly people and have an old fashioned house landline phone, and one basic cell phone, not a smart phone.  Can our cell phone number be used as a recovery option across our primary ID, and also for ALL three  of our secondary User ID’s?

Right now our cell number is the recovery for our primary user ID.  The only one we can access.  Can we use that same number as a recovery option on our 3 secondary ID’s which we are locked out of?

Note: There is no option to change passwords on the ID and security page for our 3 secondary accounts from our primary account page.

Can someone from Xfinity PLEASE answer this?

Hey @ben345. The primary can assign other numbers to the secondary ID's, but recovery options would need to be separate per ID. You wouldn't be able to address the same phone number for each ID sorry.

So then seeing we only have one cell phone, the other recovery options will have to be separate gmail accounts and also a secret question.   Is this correct?

That would be the safest option and also help remove confusion on which ID needs the recovery option processed.
