attach files to email
For the last month I have been unable to attach files to my xfinity emails using my Apple computer. I click on the attach files icon, the same as for the last 10 years, and nothing happens. I called Apple and they say it has more to do with comcast and xfinity than it does Apple. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

OK then on the Mac try a different browser. Try with Firefox, Edge, or Chrome. You could also try clearing history and cache in Safari.

Are you using the Mac Mail client on your computer? Or only the webmail UI and your browser?

I am not using the Apple email client, but rather the email service on my browser, namely Xfinity/Comcast, the same as for the last 10 years ago. Thanks for your reply.

Then as a test try using a different browser and see if the same thing happens.

My granddaughter showed me how I could drag an attached document into an open email note, and that worked, but it is a lot of trouble. So I installed Chrome on my Apple. With Chrome I am able to attach documents by simply clicking the icon. So, probelm solved.; it must have been a Safari problem, I will try your suggestion also to clean up the safari cache etc. to see if I can get Safari to work again.

Good deal. Just so you know, I have a Mac also, and I just tried attaching a file with Safari and it works as it should. I'm still running Catalina. I don't know if that makes any difference.
