Android phone outlook app stopped searching Comcast emails

Hello,

At some point my Android phone outlook app stopped searching my Comcast emails. Just says no results. I reinstalled the app several times. I now have a new phone with the same results. 

Old phone moto Z4 Android 10

New phone moto G Stylus 5G 2022 Android 12

You didn't read my post. Everything you needed was there. Yes using Android Outlook app. Comcast discontinued it's email app a few years ago and I had to switch to Outlook. But the search function worked, well actually. 

This is not a Comcast mobile phone. 

Yes I tried the online help chat. It was worthless. Kept referring me to unless information or didn't know what I wanted. It wasn't a person.

Just to check the basics and make sure there isn't a setting issue, have you already checked your Xfinity account and ensured that the configurations are still listed correctly for third-party apps? Xfinity 3rd party email configuration

I have the same issue  Same phone.  Cant search Comcast email using Android Outlook app.  Was able to search email with Moto Z4 Android 10 but cant search with new phone Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 Android 12.

Technically, we don't troubleshoot third party apps as they are not Comcast/Xfinity products.

@Again​ Comcast forced us to use 3rd party email apps when they discontinued their own app. So Comcast is like hey, you gotta use a 3rd party email app. But also Comcast, we can't help you cause you're using a 3rd party app though we forced you to use a 3rd party app. It's definitely a Comcast issue. Unfortunately they don't care. Just adds to the incompetent poor customer relations.

Hello, @user_1cbb58 and thread. @Again is correct that we are not able to troubleshoot 3rd party apps. You would reach out to the app maker to troubleshoot the issue. We still offer the website to access your emails. If you sign into the Xfinity Connect website on your phone, is the search function working there?

@XfinityRay​ I take you never accessed your email by web base on a phone? You have any idea how long that takes to open and log in? Not to mention nothing is in real time like an app. That's definitely not an appropriate "fix".

I do access my email using a browser on my mobile device from time to time, @user_1cbb58, and understand that can be a more cumbersome process. We want things working perfectly for our email service no matter how you are accessing it. I bring it up as a workaround to search while the 3rd party email app provider fixes that function.

FWIW, I use BlueMail on my Android Nokia X100 and I do not have any problems searching emails on my @comcast.net account or one other account I have set up in BlueMail.

So, the phones in question are both Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 Android 12​ and both are using Outlook.  Both older phones, Moto Z4 Android 10, were able to search.  Personally, I don't see how this can be a Comcast problem as much as it is a problem with the Moto G Stylus 5G using Outlook.  That is the only commonality here.

Negative, my previous moto Z4 did search but stopped working suddenly. That was stated in my post. The new phone didn't search from the get go. Personally, I see it as a Comcast issue. 

My girlfriend has the same phone and outlook app and it searches on her Gmail. She doesn't use Comcast email.
