All email in my Inbox has disappeared as of the morning of July 5, 2020.

All email in my Inbox has disappeared as of the morning of July 5,  2020. There are some important emaills that have disappeared. Any idea how to get them back. I have checked my Trash, and Spam folders and they are not there.

As a precaution, I would change your password to something stronger than whatever it is right now, and also change your secret question and answer. Suddenly vanishing emails is a common sign of a malware infection or a compromised account. Run a complete scan of your machine with your A/V software to see if it finds anything wrong. 

Also, do you have another device like a smartphone or tablet with the account enabled on it using POP3?   If so it may be downloading and then deleting the messages from the server. Check all the settings in it to see if that's what's going on.

Mine disappeared a few days earlier.


I deleted some e-mail, which was fine.  Then it decided to put all my e-mail in the Trash,

but only 20,000 (exactly) made it to the trash.  The rest disappeared.


It seems that Comcast does only 15 day backup of received e-mail. 

No backups of Inbox at all!  (That is what they told me.)



Can you really run an IT business with no backups at all? 

Or is it just too much for them to get the data off?
