Accessing Email Contacts List

When I'm getting ready to determine who I'll send emails to, I not only have an Address Book, but a Contacts list, too.  I don't know where the Contacts list is, let alone how to edit it.  There's tons of stuff in there I want to delete.  How do I find it?
