Worst customer service and predatory billing practices
I have had xfnity as my internet provider for about four years now and they have done nothing but disappoint. First of all they continue to raise their prices, we are not reimbursed for prolonged outage (there was a week long power outage in my area where we could not use the services being paid for and we saw no reimbursement for this, their billing is deceptive and misleading and changing your service is made unnecessarily complicated. Recently I changed my services from a higher tier to a lower tier due to the rising costs. I did this after I paid the prior months bill and received confirmation that my bill for September and moving forward would be 105. My service was changed to this lower tier immediately, leaving me having paid 130 for the entire month but only getting half the month of internet at that higher tier. They then proceeded to charge me 130 in September. I called and was told there was nothing they could do. I insisted that I was not going to pay for a service I no longer had. After speaking with two individuals I was told to call my bank to stop the charge for sept since it had not gone through yet. I did this and the charge was still taken from my account. I received an email regarding a refund request and was told they would get back to me within 3 business days. They did not and I called again. I was then put through the same hoops with a different person. I am now actively looking for a new internet provider and will be switching as soon as I am able, as their billing, customer service and response were entirely unacceptable throughout this process.
