Why did I get a text message welcoming me to Indonesia? I just activated my new mobile number and got a text welcoming me to Indonesia. The problem is. I am located in the USA and I’ve never been anywhere near Indonesia. What is going on?

For clarity, the text was sent by Xfinity giving me the option to purchase a global service pass of some sort.

@user_a2vvls Welcome to our community forum and thank you for letting us know about the text so we can figure out what's going on. This is definitely an interesting one! Did you purchase the phone new or used? Are you able to reset network settings so it can establish a connection to your local cell towers?
