Urgent Executive Escalation – Canceled iPhone Preorder, Identity Verification Failures, Contradictory Information, and Financial Impact

To Xfinity Mobile Executive Customer Relations,

I am requesting immediate executive-level intervention regarding an ongoing issue involving my canceled iPhone Duo preorder, unresolved identity-verification errors, and an extremely frustrating customer-service experience.

I have been a Xfinity Mobile customer for over 7 years, and am deeply disappointed by how this situation has been handled.

Background and Initial Preorder

On the day I placed my iPhone preorder, I proactively contacted Xfinity Mobile to confirm that my order was properly processed and that no additional identity verification or action was required.

The representative explicitly assured me that everything was fine.

The following day, I contacted Xfinity Mobile again and spoke with a different representative. Once again, I was assured that my order was fine and that no additional verification was necessary.

Despite these assurances from two separate representatives, my preorder was subsequently canceled due to an identity-verification issue.

Email Discrepancy and Verification Failure

I subsequently discovered that the email address displayed on Xfinity Mobile’s platform contained a typo: the first letter of my first name was missing from the email address.

However, I continued receiving other emails from Xfinity, which may have been associated with my home internet account or general Xfinity profile.

This discrepancy raises serious questions regarding how my contact information was being maintained across Xfinity’s systems and whether it contributed to my inability to receive the required verification communications.

Following the cancellation, I attempted to place another order but repeatedly encountered an error stating that Xfinity was unable to verify my identity, even after entering the requested personal information.

Extensive and Unsuccessful Attempts to Resolve the Issue

To date, I have spoken with more than 10 different Xfinity representatives, including supervisors and personnel from the Order Verification department.

Despite the numerous calls and explanations, nobody has been able to identify the underlying problem or provide a solution.

I have also repeatedly been told that I must have Xfinity home internet service to place my order.

However, I did not have Xfinity home internet service when I originally placed my upgrade preorder, which was initially accepted.

I subsequently visited a physical Xfinity store and presented my government-issued identification in an effort to resolve the identity-verification issue in person.

Unfortunately, the store was also unable to assist me and reiterated that I needed home internet service.

I find this particularly concerning because I have received contradictory information regarding the requirements for upgrading my existing mobile service.

Financial Impact and Upcoming International Travel

This situation is particularly urgent because I am preparing to travel internationally for an extended period.

The inability to obtain my new phone and resolve the account restrictions is affecting my travel preparations and creating financial consequences.

I have already invested an unreasonable amount of time attempting to resolve an issue that I proactively tried to prevent by contacting Xfinity before my order was canceled.

The repeated calls, inconsistent information, and lack of accountability have made this experience extremely frustrating.

Requested Resolution

I am formally requesting the following:

  1. Immediate executive-level intervention by someone with the authority to investigate and resolve this issue.
  2. A complete investigation of my original preorder cancellation, including the identity-verification process and the discrepancy in my email address.
  3. A review of the recorded telephone conversations from the day of my preorder and the following day, during which two separate representatives assured me that everything was fine.
  4. Correction of the identity-verification problem preventing me from placing another order.
  5. Restoration of my original preorder pricing and promotional benefits, if possible, given that I relied on the information provided by Xfinity representatives.
  6. A written explanation of the home internet requirement, including why I was initially permitted to place an upgrade preorder without home internet but am now repeatedly being told it is mandatory.
  7. An assigned executive escalation representative and case number so I can obtain meaningful assistance without having to repeat my situation to additional representatives.
  8. An expedited resolution before my upcoming international travel, given the financial consequences and time-sensitive nature of this situation.

I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this issue through Xfinity’s standard customer-service channels.

I am not requesting another telephone number or referral to a department I have already contacted.

I am requesting accountability, a thorough investigation, and a practical resolution.

I would appreciate a prompt written response outlining the actions Xfinity intends to take.

Thank you.

Hello user_sfwl6q, thank you for your time and for posting here in our Xfinity Community forum. We are happy you're here, and happy to assist. First, I am sad to hear you have had so many challenges in your order process, and I completely understand your frustration.

I can tell you that from the beginning of Xfinity Mobile being offered, having home internet service has been a prerequisite (I do not say that to be argumentative, just stating facts). I have spoken with a member recently who had service and wanted to upgrade their phone, but due to the status of their home service, they were ineligible. We escalated their request, but there was nothing to be done, as they did not have a billed internet service.

We can still request a review of your order. However, in the interests of and in respect to your time, please be aware the possibility of a different result is not likely. If you still want to escalate your concern, just let us know, and we will proceed from there.
