Unlocking

Hello, Xfinity Forums!

I'm having a issue with Xfinity Mobile currently. I have a A53 5G that is currently Carrier Locked to Xfinity Mobile. Now the problem is I would like to use this Mobile Device with Metro by T-Mobile. They say it's not unlocked so I would need to contact Xfinity, but everything it's that stupid Xfinity AI that never helps. So what should I do. This is my father's friend's phone which I bought off of him. They split ways so I don't know what todo.

user_mbczbi, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I can understand the importance of needing that phone unlocked as a mobile user myself. I am sorry to learn that our XFINITY Assistant has made you feel this way. You've come to the right place. Over social media, we are a team of specialized experts who are dedicated to resolving mobile concerns over social media. We are happy to assist and do everything within our power to provide a solution as quickly as possible. We have the best tools, just like the Xfinity Assistant. It is the best resource to manage the account and service online when we are not available. Having access to your device is very important. Here are the other unlock requirements to be aware of at this link here. Please let me know if this helps. Only the account holder, Primary user, or a Manager on a phone’s original Xfinity Mobile account can request to have it unlocked. Here are are also the details below.

At least 60 days must pass since your phone was activated.

Your Xfinity Mobile account cannot have a past-due balance.

Your phone cannot be reported lost, stolen, or involved in fraudulent activity.
