Unlocking a device

I transferred my line to T-Mobile from xfinity, and in the store I paid everything in full and I was told everything is unlocked. So I got the transfer pin and transferred everything to T-mobile. But at the last step I was told the e-sim cannot be activated because xfinity has a lock on it. I have spent my whole day trying to resolve this but I have been told it has been unlocked, we cannot unlock it because it has been disconnected, we created a ticket it should be done within 2-3 hours. Firstly if the number is locked why will you allow the transfer process? and if it is normal why can no body figure this out?

Hello there, you have reached the correct department. It does take 24 to 48 hours for your device to unlock after final payment. When did you complete the payments on your device?

I will be more than happy to help with your request. To begin, would you mind sending me your name and the address to your account in a Direct message?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
