Thanks for the responses. I did call Xfinity, and they told me that they unlocked it and that it would take 24 hrs to take affect. I waited for two days. When it didn't work and I called, I was told that Xfinity didn't actually have authority(?) of the phone which was weird because I purchased it at an Xfinity store. I ended up paying a third party to unlock it. The third party told me it was under the authority of StraightTalk, a carrier I've never used nor purchased anything from. Whatever.

@user_mnsbew Check here if you meet the unlock requirements; https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/eligible-to-unlock-phone If so, you can request an unlock using the Xfinity Assistant.
