Unable to Activate eSim

I moved my mobile cellular phone service to Xfinity yesterday. When I look at "Services" in the Xfinity App, I can see my phone listed. However, when I try to activate the eSim in my Settings, I get a message that "Your eSIM isn't ready yet." and contact my service provider.

Hello user_gxhk9u! Thank you so much for joining our Xfinity mobile services. I have loved the service for about 3 years now and had the same hiccup when I ported my phone number over. Did you turn off or delete the existing esim from the previous provider?
