Trade in lost in mail

I sent in my iPhone 16 pro with provided label and I have receipt given to me when I dropped it off at usps but it looks like it’s lost in the mail. I have filed lost mail with usps with no updates on that.  When you google this issue their are thousands of people who have had this same exact thing happen. I am worried now I would have rather kept my old phone and paid for this one but looks like I’m going to lose out now.
