Text from debt collector

Hi!  My daughter is getting text on her mobile phone from a debt collector, but she has never had an account.  I’ve tried to contact Xfinity through the phone numbers and they can’t find an account for her either.  My account is up-to-date and payments and I’m on auto pay.  We’re trying to get a resolution to this, but we can’t figure out why she is getting these debt collector texts.  Coming from 266278.

The link in the text takes her to my account.

This is an attempt to collect a debt. Visit https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/rights for rights/contact info. Your Xfinity Mobile balance is overdue. Actually, it takes you to whatever account you happen to be logged in with.

The link translates to https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/my-account/settings

Thanks for sharing that info @BruceW!

Good morning @user_y30xxw, our team can review your account to determine if there are any past due balances. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, we can get started.

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
