Sim problem

I had a phone call from an xfinity robot, or so I hope, that said that one or both of our sim cards needed to be replaced because of an emergency SOS problem with it. I'm wondering if this is a scam or not? They said to bring them into a store to exchange and that's quite a trip for me. Anyone get this message lately? Thanks!

Good Morning, @marym26! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! I do understand that it must be concerning receiving a call regarding your emergency SOS, and I would want to make sure everything is correct. At this time, if you are not having any alerts on your device that the sim card is failing, you would be good to go. If you have an eSIM, and are having troubles, you would just need to download a new eSIM following the steps here. I would recommend reporting the number as scam/phishing, and if you have troubles with a physical SIM card, you can visit the store to have it swapped out. Please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help!

Thanks for posting this. I just read the response from Xfinity. I also got a call and a message on my voicemail. Sounded very legit. I am not having any problems, so I am going to ignore it. The number to call back was given at 888-936-4968, but I didn't call . I tried to get info on Xfinity Chat and it referred me to "Howly" site for a $1 cost, which I did not do either. So confusing!

I received an email stating that at least one phone on my plan had this issue and we could bring it to an Xfinity store for a replacement if there were problems.  We have 5 phones on our plan.  It would be nice if they would tell us which phone(s) potentially has an issue.  I checked on the Xfinity website and there is nothing about this issue for any of our devices.
