Samsung (Verizon) Network Extender 2 (SLS-BU10B Model #)
I am a Xfinity Mobile user. When Xfinity Mobile first began operations, if you had a bad signal at your home, the only way to improve the signal was to buy a Network Extender, find someone who had a Verizon account (XM gets signal from Verizon towers), get the friend to register your NE on their account, THEN you could install it at your house. Just today, 2/3/25, I inherited a Samsung (Verizon) Network Extender 2 and I was able to install it without having to register it on a friend's Verizon account. I now have 5 bars of signal strength while inside the house and 3-4 while outside of house in the yard. Yay !! While Wi-Fi calling does solve the problem of bad house signal with voice calls, a bad house signal can/will compromise one's ability to text especially if a picture or whatever is attached to the text. With the NE and 5 bars of reception, texting with attachments is effortless. Yay 2 !! This NE model does have GPS, which, in theory, will provide your house address to first responders if/when needed.
Caution: If you attempt purchase of a NE, make sure you do not buy the older version. It will not work. You need the SLS-BU10B model (or newer version if there is one ?).
Also, the NE will not work if plugged directly into a modem. It has to be plugged into a router or router/modem combo. The specs I read somewhere said it won't work with a "mesh router system", but I have Google Mesh and it works great, Yay 3!!!
Happy to answer any questions.
