Samsung S21 Died - can data be restored to replacement phone
My Samsung S21 died, so I took it to the Xfinity store in Kent, WA, and received a replacement S21 by FedEx the next day, courtesy of my insurance. The rep said I could bring in my replacement phone and they could help me try to retrieve my photos, contacts, etc., using Google.
I brought my replacement phone in the next day, and the rep said they couldn't help me restore my data.
Today, I had a pop-up message on my phone stating I could retrieve my lost photos. When I opened the message, it wanted a credit card number, so I was concerned it might be spam. I took it to the Xfinity store, and they confirmed it was spam. And once again, they said they couldn't help me.
Are my photos and contacts lost forever, or is there a way I can try to retrieve them using Google, or Gmail? Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. I hope you are doing great today, besides having some hiccups with your device. Here on the Forums, we are a full-service team, so you've come to the right place. Typically, if you don't physically have the phone, you'd only be able to sync what was backed up online. Were you using Google to store your photos and contacts, or did you use your Samsung account?
