Returning smart watch

I received a "free" apple smartwatch which I planned to give to my daughter. But she doesn't need it. I am now past the two-week return period. I don't want to pay for a device that no one wants.  Is there a way I can return this device so I don't continue to receive a monthly charge for something I'm not using?
