Rebate to pay off phone and switch to Xfinity Mobile

I went to an Xfinity store on July 11th 2026 to sign up for Xfinity tv and internet service and was convinced to bring my phone to Xfinity after the store manager said he would put in for a rebate to me for the amount owed to Verizon.  I have not received the rebate and when I called Xfinity support they could not help unless I had a confirmation number which I don't have.  I reached out to the manager in mid August to say that Xfinity had no record of it and he stated he would put in the rebate again.  Now it's a month later and still nothing. 

Did I get taken for a ride?
