Photos texted to me

Here's a weird one....over the past couple of days, whenever I receive a photo from someone via text, their name and my name appear in the 'from' area in the text, so it appears we both sent the photo to me.  For example, lets say the person that sent the photo is Jim, and my name is Bob.  I have a text string with Jim going for a few days so in my text list, 'Jim' is listed in my list of texts.  Jim sends me a photo, and a SEPARATE text string is started that lists both Jim (the actual sender) and Bob (me).  So it set up a separate text string for just photos from Jim.  

This is w/ an iphone and so far the only photos I've gotten since this happened is from people NOT using iphones.

Any ideas?!
