Phone “Stolen” During Delivery
My wife and I ordered 2 iPhone 18 pro max phones on Wednesday 9/30. The phones were shipped via FedEx and “delivered” on 10/5, only for 1 box to be empty with only a packing slip and brown paper inside. Called customer service only to be told that I will need to file a police report for my “delivery” in order proceed with any resolution for Xfinity sending me an empty box. This sounded absurd to me, so my wife went to the physical Xfinity store located at 6420 FM 1463 Suite 500 in Fulshear TX and the “manager” at this location was the most rude, unprofessional representative of an organization she has ever encountered in her life. She was informed that she did indeed need to file a police report for the missing phone. Which, as an aside, is completely ridiculous that we, as customers should have to be inconvenienced because of untrustworthy employees at either Comcast Corp. or FedEx. We have been Comcast customers in one way or another for 14 of the last 16 years and have spent enough money with this company to pay whatever the cost of the stupid phone was hundreds of times over, but were treated as if we were the at fault party in this situation. After being informed of the police report policy, my wife said ok, that’s fine, but I want to return the 1 phone I did receive and would like a refund for the 1 that was “stolen”. The local sheriff’s office was contacted, and when the deputy arrived to the store to find out what he needed to do in order to satisfy the “manager” she repeatedly cut him off and interrupted his speaking. To the point that he eventually had to go outside to “cool off” before reentering the business to get some sort of clarity as to what exactly he needed to do to help my wife in her quest for restitution. He eventually got what he needed out of the combative and disrespectful “manager” and returned with a case number for her to enter into whatever system it was she needed to in order to start the refund process. All of this took well over an hour. I find it absolutely ridiculous that Comcast would allow people of this low of character to manage any of their retail locations, as well as make it this difficult for customers to resolve issues that they had absolutely no hand in creating. This was Comcast’s doing. We, as customers, had absolutely no hand in creating this problem, but were treated, along with local law enforcement, like absolute garbage for daring to seek restitution. As soon as my refund is processed I will be canceling every Comcast service I have and will never give Comcast another dollar of my money as long as I live. Including their theme parks which I just spent $2500 on for 2 days for 2 people in. I will also tell this story to every single person I know so as many people as possible know how atrocious Comcast’s customer service is. I know that as a multi multi billion dollar corporation, they likely couldn’t care less, but they have lost a customer for life and hopefully I can convince as many people as possible to do the same.
