If your phone blacks out and won't turn back on, try the following steps:
Plug it in to see if it shows any signs of life; it may need a few minutes to charge if the battery is drained. Use a different charger or outlet to rule out charging issues. For Android devices, hold the power and volume down buttons simultaneously until you see a boot load screen, then select Restart device.
