No free mobile line
I decided to get Xfinity mobile when I saw they had a deal for free mobile line for a year but I’m getting charged for the mobile line. Did I read something wrong?

Hello DBL01 ,
We are offering certain deals and promotions that would include a free mobile line. I can certainly take a look and see what you ordered and make sure we met the requirements for the free line. In order to better assist we will need to take a look at your account. If you can send us a direct message with your full name and address for your service we can take a look.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.

I was sold a "free line" for 1 year back in April as well. Xfinity had a very difficult time getting my phone number from Ooma and the line did not activate until June 3rd which I found out when I called because I had been charged $44 in May. Nobody communicated that the line was finally activated and I would not have known if I hadn't called. I was then told that the $44 was a $25 activation fee and the balance was the phone charge. When I decided to take the free line I was told the only charge was the tax on the phone which I paid upfront, the person I was dealing with said I would not see another bill for a year and I could cancel then if I wanted. All sounded great, but apparently not true. When I called about the $44 I spoke to a "supervisor" that told me that I signed an agreement for the activation and phone fee which I do not remember doing. She said the monthly charges moving forward would be $14/mo. to cover the cost of the phone but the line itself is free. I told her that was absolutely never mentioned to me. She said she would email me the agreement that I signed and I have still not seen it. I also asked if the $14 goes away when I cancel and she said no, I would being paying for the phone for another year even without the line. Does that make sense to anyone? Such deception! Has anyone else had this experience? I'm guessing yes.
