Misleading Promotion

I was browsing my Xfinity membership perks and came across what looked like a great deal: “Save $300 on a new phone” from Xfinity Mobile. I redeemed the offer and got a promo code with checkout instructions—but when I tried to use it, I got an error saying no items in my cart qualified for the discount. After chatting with support, I was told the promo code actually applies to a smartwatch, not a phone. At first I assumed I’d made a mistake, but I checked the screenshot I saved—and it clearly says “Save $300 on a new phone.”

Am I off base for expecting Xfinity to honor the offer as it was presented? I understand things can go wrong (system glitch, mislabeling, etc.), but as it stands, the promotion feels misleading.

user_xoylpz I understand the frustration at not getting the $300 off a phone, but rather a smart watch. It sounds like the agent you spoke with was able to provide you the correct information regarding that reward offer. We would not be able to offer you $300 off a phone if the offer is for a smart watch, though if you would like to redeem that offer for a smart watch and are running into an error, please let us know and we can help.
