Locked phone and bad service
I was an Xfinity customer and had problems while traveling, so I decided to switch carriers. Unfortunately, they could not get my phone activated. I went to XFINITY to pay for the reminder balance on the phone. The service representative told me that my phone was unlocked.
I went back to Verizon, but the phone still would not work.
After going back and forth with several unhelpful Xfinity customer service representatives,
I even received comments such as, "That's what happens when you buy a cheap phone," and, "This phone isn't compatible with the new carrier." Finally, one employee was able to partially resolve the issue by reconnecting the phone to Xfinity, and I was told that it was now unlocked. The phone started working.
I eventually purchased a new phone, and it has been working perfectly with Verizon.
I then reset my old Motorola phone and inserted my husband's SIM card. Instead of working, I received a message saying that I needed to contact Xfinity. Why? The phone then gave me the option to use a different device, which I did. I transferred my husband's data to the Motorola phone, and everything worked fine for about 45 minutes.
Then, all of a sudden, the phone locked itself. I have not been able to unlock it because it is asking for a PIN that I do not have. After searching on Google, it appears that the phone is still somehow tied to Xfinity.
I will be going to the store tomorrow morning. What a waste of time! Never again will I do business with Xfinity.
