iPhone duo Xfinity Mobile deal

I got a trade in value of $1299 for my iPhone 16 pro max for a new iPhone 18 pro max for my wife and I waiting to upgrade and wait for the deal for the iPhone duo and they only give us $1000 of trade in value. Kind of a slap in the face for new and exciting customers. At least give us the same trade in value of $1299. That only makes sense. Of course the deal for the iPhone 18 pro max is no longer available so I am stuck with an older phone and not being able to upgrade.

Thank you for reaching out here about that trade in issue. Was that device graded by Assurant for the trade in value?

The device just made it to the xfinity facility to be looked at and graded. I’m just saying it’s frustrating, as a long time Xfinity customer, that the deals for the cheaper device (iPhone 18 pro max) are better with more money for your trade in than the deals for the more expensive device (iPhone duo). I’m not really having an issue, I’m just

 making a statement.

I was personally curious to see what offers would become available with the new iPhone Duo as well, so I can understand why you’d compare the two promotions. With the Duo being the more expensive device, I understand why you’d hope to see a trade-in promotion at least comparable to what was previously available with the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The important distinction is that the $1,299 and $1,000 amounts are tied to two different device promotions rather than your iPhone 16 Pro Max simply losing $299 in trade-in value. The iPhone 18 Pro Max had an “On Us” promotion that covered up to the full price of the eligible 256 GB model with a qualifying trade-in, while the current iPhone Duo promotion provides savings of up to $1,000 with an eligible trade-in.

I appreciate you sharing the feedback. I can certainly see why, from a longtime customer’s perspective, you’d want the promotion on the more expensive device to be at least as competitive as the one offered on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
