@user_s09f48 An "invalid destination address" error when sending pictures in a text message indicates a problem with either the recipient's number, your device's settings, or the carrier's network. You can troubleshoot this by verifying the recipient's phone number format, ensuring mobile data is enabled and MMS is supported on your device, restarting your phone, clearing your messaging app's cache, or resetting your network settings.

Check Your Device and App Settings
  • Enable Mobile Data: Photo messages (MMS) require cellular data to send, not just Wi-Fi.
  • Verify MMS Support: Ensure your messaging app and device are set up to send and receive MMS messages.
  • Restart Your Phone: A simple restart can resolve temporary glitches or corrupt data in your phone's system.
  • Clear Messaging App Cache: Clearing the cache for your messaging app can fix configuration issues.
  • Reset Network Settings: This can often resolve network-related problems causing the error.

Thank you for reaching out here @user_s09f48. The information from @DreamSayerZ is correct. Have you been able to verify those settings are correct?

@user_s09f48 Can you power off and restart once again? Wait a couple of minutes before restarting and let us know if there's a difference.

I have the same issue.  I even did a full firmware reset, tried other text apps.  I think there is an issue with RCS.  I was able to get an RCS message with pics to go through one time.

I am ready to pay the fee to break this contract.

Is anyone else using a Pixel 8?

@user_cjq8nv If you have already verified the settings above provided by @DreamSayerZ then you can send us a direct message with your full name and service address, and we can take a look deeper in the account.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
