I can't activate my SIM card

I received my SIM card through the mail but can't activate it since I can't install the Xfinity app (requires iOS 17.2 which my phone does not support). I am unable to call or text Xfinity support and have been unsuccessful in reaching a live agent through chat despite selecting the option and waiting.
