galaxy S24 email notification sounds

I have a new S24 through Verizon. While I am able to get my comcast emails, using the pre-installed samsung email app, I cannot get ANY sound notifications. YES....I have ALL notifications enabled.  Also had a devil of a time even setting up my comcast email. Someone here told me the trick was to put in the password in first and then the email address. There is obviously some issues between Samsung and Xfinity
