"FREE" apple watch

I contacted Xfinity to cancel my service because my internet bill kept increasing.  It had nearly doubled.  I am a single mom and trying to stay within a budget and live within my means.  I was told that they would lower my bill and also send me a FREE Apple Watch since I was a longtime customer.

However, upon receiving this watch I got a phone call that informed that I would need to activate it and have a $10/month fee.  This was not what I was told when I agreed to the terms.  I just received the watch two days ago.  I do not wish to pay $10/month additional for this watch that I was told was "FREE".  This is misleading and I do not appreciate it.  I will return the watch, and I am also very disappointed because I feel like I was misled.  I am trying to save money and not spend it.  Very disappointed.  Please advise what I need to do.

Hello, @user_qwttyb how are you? Hopefully all is well overall. I apologize for any miscommunication about the Apple Watch. We need to communicate that with the appropriate promotion there are no charges for the device itself, but there is a month service cost. Hopefully you will keep the services, but you can return the device within 14 days. When did you sign up for Xfinity Mobile?
