eSIM Not Attaching to Phone Number, Extremely Dissatisfied
I recently switched from Visible by Verizon to Xfinity Mobile, since I had a free line with my WiFi. The port of my phone number from Visible to Xfinity, and the download of the eSIM, were successful. However, the eSIM did not attach itself to my phone number. I am currently unable to make phone calls or send/receive text messages.
I have restarted my phone several times. I have redownloaded the eSIM several times. I have talked to Xfinity online support, I have called Xfinity customer service, I have visited a local Xfinity store, I have visited a local Verizon store, I have spoken with Samsung online support, and I have spoken with Visible online support. No matter what I've done, who I've talked to, or where I've gone, no one has been able to resolve this issue.
I have also tried to obtain my mobile security PIN so that I can transfer my phone number to a new carrier, but the website only allows the PIN to be sent to the number I'm trying to transfer via text message, which is a problem considering I do not have access to text through that number. My phone number, which I have had for years and use for work and extremely important personal business, is now inaccessible to me.
The only option I see ahead of me is to trade my phone for a new one through Xfinity, but a.) I'm unsure if that will solve the issue, and b.) I can only trade the phone in for up to $300 off. Options in that price range are very limited, and I will *not* be paying any extra money to to obtain something that was already mine and made inaccessible through a service advertised as free.
This has been going on all week. I appreciate the attempted help from the representatives I've spoken to. However, I am tired, and I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with Xfinity Mobile. If I do not receive a tangible, actionable solution that results in me getting access to my phone number, I will cancel my Xfinity internet subscription and bring my business elsewhere. Thank you for your time.
