Disappoined with Xfinity

After over 20 years of being a loyal customer to Xfinity, i decided to try a streaming approach to my internet/entertainment needs. Xfinity thanked me by charging me for a mobile phone that i never used. I only accepted the mobile device in November '2025 in order to get a better price with a package. I was told at the time that it was not a contract, that i could return the phone if i ever cancelled my subscription with Xfinity.  I took the hard decision in early March '2026 to change providers. I have made multiple calls with no recourse provided. I will remember this when the opportunity comes up and when asked about my experience with Xfihnity and when friends/network ask me about Xfinity. This was a terrible way to part ways with Xfinity after 20+ years of loyal subscribership. I am highly disappointed.

Eventually Xfinity will call me and try to re-coup my business, odd that they would not address my issue to satisfaction now.  I was kicked around to various departments, promised calls back in 48 hours, etc etc, but in the end Xfinity simply charged my credit card and moved on.  Odd way to do business.  In my summary 20 years x $230 a month = $55,000 was yielded from me and they destroyed any confidence I had in them for a $125 device that I don't feel I owe them.

Hello @user_blnakh we’re really sorry to hear about your experience, especially after 20+ years with us. That’s certainly not the impression we want to leave.

We understand your concerns around the mobile device and the expectations that were set when you accepted it. Situations like this can sometimes involve specific return timelines or promotional requirements, but we’d absolutely like the chance to review your account to make sure everything was handled correctly.

We also hear your frustration around the multiple transfers and missed follow-ups, that’s not the level of service we aim to provide.

Please feel free to direct message us your full name and the service address to review this more in detail.
