I just transferred my service over to xfinity and was told many times “rest assure the phone is free” so why did I get a contract for $699.99 with 24 monthly payments? I’m told this is just a contract for what the phone cost. So why is my name and address listed on it?

@khillpalmer Did you read your contract? You receive a "free phone", but they apply a bill credit to your account each month for 24 months. After that, the phone is yours.
