Cancelling and returning free Iwatchs (2)

Yesterday, Wednesday, February 5, 2025

while having faulty equipment replaced at the local Xfinity office I was offered (2) free, I watches. Later that evening, as I was reviewing my receipt on my phone for the transaction, I noticed that both phones had to be activated and there was going to be a $10 service fee per month for each phone that was never explained nor was it mentioned at the time of the offer. At this time, I’ve would like to cancel the offer and return the phones as soon as I get them, they’re being mailed to me. How do I go about doing this.

You’ve been had by the “free” offer.  You will soon see the tax for the phones on your credit card and a Retail Installment Sale Agreement via email stating you are buying each watch for $299.99 paid over 24 months at $12.49 each each month. So you will pay $22.49 per month total for 24 months for each watch. Who knows what other hidden fees will appear. The contract states you have 14 days to return FROM TIME OF SHIPMENT.  I would do that ASAP in person. Online may be a “challenge”.   NOTHING IS FREE. Especially at Comcast Xfinity.

I was also offerred this "deal" but it sounded too good to be true so I declined.  The rep never mentioned ANYTHING about extra fees or monthly payments, rather, just that the iWatch would be FREE cuz I was such a great customer.  Xfinity is becoming the Wells Fargo of mobile.
