Beyond frustrated
A couple weeks ago I went into Xfinity in Methuen, MA to upgrade my iPhone 13. I was asked what I wanted and I mentioned I wanted the iPhone 15. Lady said the 16 was only a few dollars more a month, so I said ok
She came back with a phone and started the upgrade, offering me $300 for my iPhone 13. I said great. Then I realized she had the iPhone 15 in her hand, I stopped her, apologized and said I wanted the 16 because it was only a few dollars more. She said no problem, and went and got a 16.
After 20-30min she informed me she already applied my iPhone 13’s $300 to the original 15 she brought out and unfortunately could not reverse it and I would not be able to use the trade toward the 16. At this point I said no, and I wanted to just keep the 15. She then redid for the 15 and again could not apply the trade in as it was a different transaction. She then wiped out my 13, and kept it.
I received a call this week stating the 13 was still at store and still technically mine, and to come get it.
now I am realizing I received a phone I did not want, and no credit was ever given to me for my trade in.
can I just redo everything, get a 16, use my 13 for its trade value and be happy?
update: Xfinity chat told me if I went in again to Xfinity store, they would be able to give me the trade in value and swap me out of the 15 to the 16. I went in, wasted an hour, they could or would not use the 13 I had for trade in and told me cause the initial time of 2 weeks to swap had expired, I’d have to pay an additional $300+ to get a 16.
i left the store with my iPhone 13 which before dealing with the store was an asset of $300, no after it can’t be used.
