Xfinity Indoor Camera (xCam3) Launched!

All -

Just a quick note that we have now officially launched the xCam3 across our entire footprint!  It's a lower-cost camera designed to be used indoors, but otherwise still has all the same great features of the Indoor/Outdoor xCam2.  It's currently priced at $60, or $2.50/month for 24 months.

The xCam3 supports viewing live video, 24/7 Video Recording, motion notifications, 2-way audio and camera area settings.  Available to Pro Protection and Self Protection customers, the xCam3 must be paired and managed using the Xfinity app.

I clicked on the link and all it did was try to sell me a new plan.  My living room camera is over seven years old and falls apart any time it’s touched.  The older original Xcam is hard to maneuver at all to get a better angle. Does this camera see better in low light situations? How do I add two of these to my monthly bill and get them shipped to me?

If you first sign in to the xfinity.com Portal with your primary Xfinity ID and then click on the link above, the page will recognize you as an existing customer and the button next to the camera will change to "Add Indoor Camera" where you can then place an order.  Alternately, you can give us a call and we can place an order over the phone.

The xCam3 has essentially the same specs as the xCam2, but is not rated for outdoor use.  I can tell you that the night vision on both is excellent.  Both the xCam2 and xCam3 can be easily maneuvered to get the desired angle as well.

I’ll call next week. Does the Xcam 3 look the same as the 2?

Sounds good!

No, the xCam2 (Indoor/Outdoor Camera) and xCam3 (Indoor Camera) have different styles.  Scroll down this page to check out both cameras, in addition to other Xfinity Home Equipment that is offered: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/home-security/devices
