xcam2 not working after power surge followed by 14 hour power outage

A few weeks ago some powerful storms came thru the area (Sterling Heights).  We had a power surge and the lights went out briefly - about 15 seconds or so.  About 10 minutes later the power went out and lasted 14 hours.  When that happened, one of my xcam2 cameras quit working (the timeline quit recording).  Sometimes I get 2 red lights;  one on either side of the white blinking light. I have tried many times since than to get it re-connected, but the camera will not pair.  I can get it to the white blinking light but no further.  I don't have xfinity home, just the 'self protect with 2 cameras.  Is there any way to fix the camera?  Or did the power surge fry the electronics in it?

Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks....Cliff K

@polishandproud I’m glad to hear everyone is safe from the recent storms. You're in the right place for a resolution with your cameras. I have six myself and understand the importance and safety of having them. Is this camera plugged into a surge protector or switched outlet?

On the back of your camera have you pushed the reset button and unplugged it from the wall for at least one minute?

Good afternoon.  The camera is not plugged into a surge protector and the wall outlet is not switch controlled.  I have unplugged the camera (multiple times) but only for about 10 seconds or so with no good results.  Just now I tried, as you suggested and unplugged it for 2 minutes then retried the set up.  This time it worked!  However, there are two red lights showing on the camera face, one on either side of the (now) blue solid light.  Its progress, but there must be something still wrong because of the red lights?  Thank you so much for your help.  Can you tell me why the red lights are on the camera, and how to shut them off?

Wouldn't you know it, as I was typing the last post the two red lights have gone off!  Everything seems to be working now and the timeline has re-appeared.  Thank you, Thank you!  Cliff k
