XCam

I have  3 Xcam Cameras. Two of them are not near outlets as they are being mounted outside of the home. I ran Cat6 cables to extend them into my basement and plugged them in next to where the router is. The cameras are not coming back online. Can Cat6 cable with an ethernet connector be used to connect to the camera's RJ45 connector? There is power going to the camera I checked it and it was on it just was not connecting to the system.

Thank you in advance

Ryan

Is it possible the wireless cameras are too far from the router?

The power unit (XW3)which as I was told by the tech installing the cameras was the transmitting device.  The XW3 is in the same room as the router. The camera is at the other end of my house so I ran a cat 6 cable to it and connected it to the camera's rj45 cable. I checked the camera itself and it is on but not connecting to the router.
