XCam Y Cable
Hello... I purchased some XCam1's (These: Pair an Xfinity Camera from the touchscreen - Xfinity Support) from ebay and tried to pair them. Realized I need a Y-Cable. Tech support said it was a cable that was given to install techs back when these cameras were popular. I cannot find one for sale. Can you point me to a resource or is it possible to get a pinout of what the cat5 cable connects to on the rj45 so I can make my own? This is the y-cable that has a female rj45 port on the block, then 2 male rj45 plugs on the other side of the block. It is NOT the one with an RJ45 and power injector plug.

@xsatc Wish we could help more here, but even if it's our outdated equipment and not purchased through us, that is out of jurisdiction.

Just another way for Xfinity to scrape more money from us. I also have an xcam1 that I cannot get a y adapter to pair the camera (that I did get from Xfinity when we got our security system) you are made to purchase the cameras not lease them, therefore you are responsible for them. In my opinion the tech that Installed the camera should have left me the y adapter that I purchased! I too would make my own but finding a pin out has been impossible. I think it’s time to get a different system through a different company!

You might be able to find the adapter you need on EBay. I’d like to mention though that the ICamera 2 is old. Maybe just replace is with the Xcam 2 or Xcam 3. I have only one ICamera 2 left and it’s falling apart. They’re not good in low light. The Xcam 2 has software in it to detect motion and is great for outdoors. The Xcam 3 is good for indoors and has a goose neck to position it better. When it warms up I’m moving my only indoor Xcam 2 out front to replace a Ring doorbell that rings in the middle of the night.
