X Cam 2 wiring installation

Can the provided power wire be removed from the back of the camera and then the camera plugged into existing Cat 5 wiring previously installed for camera's.

Or do I just need to use a RJ 45 inline coupler and live with the extra wire bundled up outside on the house?

user_h5c6cf Welcome to out community forum and thank you @EG for moving this to the appropriate section. Yes, the Xfinity camera can be plugged into existing Cat 5 wiring previously installed for cameras, provided that the wiring is in good condition and meets the necessary specifications. Ensure that the power adapter is plugged in indoors, as it is not weatherproof.
