Works with xfinity

Last last year I read a comment from a Comcast employee who implied that there would some news this year about possibly a version of a ring doorbell or something of that nature that would be announced this year.  I don’t think I’ve seen an announcement of that. Is something forthcoming to Home security that would permit the API of the Ring doorbell to talk to the Home app w/o loosing the security of the system, if this is occurring is it something that goes thru the Xfinity app and not the Home app?

Hello lkpolovchik. We appreciate you visiting and posting on our Forums. As of now, we do not have any news or pending announcements to integrate a video camera doorbell to Xfinity Home security. Of course, you can use a video camera doorbell with Xfinity WiFi, not integrated into our Home security service. For more information, please visit: https://comca.st/3fM9dKr

That’s fine. I had no choice but to install a Ring camera at the door that has no way to connect an Xfinity camera w/o punching a hole thru brick and plaster. An Xfinity camera is being shipped to me for the other outdoor entrance that has a plug. That porch is all under roof.

I completely understand where you're coming from! I would have to do the same for our front door as there's no outlets outside our home. We drilled through the back wall and siding (where we park anyway), and I was very impressed with the professional way our technician was able to install my camera! We're on our 3rd generation cameras, and I think you're really going to love it, along with all the features it has and benefits it provides through the Xfinity Home or Xfinity app!

Thank you so much for your response today, and for being the best part of our Comcast family; have a wonderful weekend!
