Windows sensors burning through batteries

I have one room with 2 sensors that is burning through batteries every few weeks. I have sensors that have never needed changing but I’ve gone through over 14 batteries in just a few months. Is there a way to get them replaced. I’m not even sure they are working at the rate they the batteries are out. I also don’t understand why they are both in the same room. It may be coincidence but it certainly is odd.

They could be lined up better.

Thank you for the information @lholland66. Have you attempted to change how they are positioned? You should easily be able to remove the sicky backing and align them a little better. Our team will be on standby if you need further assistance.

Good morning @lholland66 and thank you for reaching out to our Digital Care Team on our Community forums regarding the issues with your sensors. How long has this been occurring? Are you experiencing any issues with any of your other XFINITY equipment?

It’s been going on for about a year, but it started slowly and just speeded up.

Are those sensors used alot? Or are they not quite lined up correctly? I have one on my sliding back door that seems to eat batteries as well but that is the most used sensor in the whole house.

I have a similar problem. I have a door sensor that is using batteries at 2 a week suddenly. The touch screen / hub has not been moved. All is still set as it was installed. I have looked at the dashboard / device screen. Under communication it will display not connected. I have even reset the touchscreen. The sensor soon goes from low to not connected. The door sensor still chimes if opened, But it drains battery within 3 or 4 days. I can't simply move the touchscreen / hub as any other location you must pass the motion detector to reach it. This getting ridiculous as far as $$ for batteries go. What could be wrong. All other sensors are doing fine. One is still on its original battery.

user_c5e853 Good day there! Thank you for reaching out to our Digital Care Team! I know how frustrating it can be, when your services and equipment isn't working as designed. If you have already switched the batteries, and checked to make sure your sensor is aligned properly, we may need to get a technician out to assess the signal on your sensor. Batteries aren't cheap, and every few days could get costly. Please send over your account details through the instructions below, and I would be happy to get you in the right direction today. I look forward to hearing from you.
