Security camera making loud noises
Last night one of my security cameras started making loud cracking noises and then loud alarm like noise. We had to unplug it to make it stop. Now I am worried that my cameras could be hacked. Is there a way for you to find out what happened? The camera is unpluged right now.

@user_110448 Thank you for reaching back with us. I was wondering if you plugged your camera back in and had any more issues? Do you have just the one camera or do you have others as well?

It is the night vision or low light shutter activating and deactivating. The Xfinity cameras do not have the feature to disable the night vision. So if it is near a tv or window and the light changes in a low light setting you will continue to hear that clicking noise. I am sending mine back because that noise keeps waking me up at night.

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue if you wish. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 5-month-old dead thread is now being closed.
For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on an old thread can delay getting help.
