My window sensor battery is dead

I need to replace the battery in a window sensor.  When I called about it, I was told that I would get a new battery in about a week.  It's been 2 weeks now, so obviously this isn't happening.  What is the size and type of battery for that sensor and how do I open it to replace it?

Thanks

@Mike_AG I am sorry to hear that you are unable to send us a peer to peer message and that you have not received the batteries. Most of our door/window sensors use a CR2450 battery

@Mike_AG that is a wonderful question. Place your thumb or finger on the top edge of the sensor cover and push/pull towards the end of the Sensor. The cover will slide a short distance and stop so you can pull the cover off of the Sensor. After removing the cover you may receive a tamper alert from your system. The tamper alert warns you when the cover of your device is open and will clear once the battery is replaced and the cover is reattached. While you have the battery cover removed you can confirm the type of battery that is needed for your sensor

It looks like I have to take the sensor off the frame of my window to change the battery. How do I do that easily without tearing a hole in my frame?  I've already tried just pulling gently and it simply won't move without tearing
