Launching 2-Way Audio for xCam2 Cameras

All -

Some great news I wanted to pass along!  Beginning today, we are starting to roll out 2-Way audio for our xCam2 Cameras (our latest model).  Once enabled, you will be able to talk through your camera's internal speaker.

Please note that the feature is designed to work through the latest version of the Xfinity App (not the Xfinity Home App).  If you don't see it quite yet, keep checking back - we expect to make this available to everyone with eligible equipment by the end of August!

For full details, please see this support article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/2-way-audio-cameras-xfinity-app

Hi. I do not have that option. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and had a tech look into the problem. I have four compatible cameras and still no talk button.

Are you definitely using the Xfinity App?  The feature is not available in the Xfinity Home app.

@XfinityBecker yes. They stated it don't work for people that have their own modem, which sucks

I just had my system installed this afternoon and love the 2-way audio.   I have 2 Boxers who go in and out of dog door to the back yard and it's nice to monitor and be able to speak to them while I'm gone.

@user_787562 - You are correct - the Xfinity App currently requires a leased Xfinity Gateway to view cameras - but this won't always be the case. As soon as I have any updates on the ability to use the Xfinity App to view cameras for customers who own their own modem, I'll make sure to post an update in this forum.
