Hi user_89n00c - I'm sorry you're still having trouble!
If you're sure the battery is fresh, a "tamper" alert could be caused by the cover to the sensor not being seated correctly after the battery was replaced. Try taking the cover off and putting it on again, making sure it is fully snapped back in to place.
