Camera all of a sudden quit recording

Hey all,

I have a Xfinity camera  (Forgot the model number but its the one just before the newset one...  Its white, but does not have the ability to talk through it).  Anyhow, a couple of days ago, it just quit displaying motions and recording.   The camera DOES work.  I am able to connect to it, I can view live video, etc.  It is NOT a connection issue.  My 3 other camera that do 24/7 recording work fine.   I do have a tech coming on Sat to fix/replace, but I would love to figure it out myself to save the time on Sat to do other things.  I have tried the following:

Reset the camera

test Outlet it is plugged into-- It is direct connected into outlet.

Reboot Touchscreen, security router, modem, and my personal router,

Turned recording off/then back on in the App.

Attempted to record manually....  camera showed as recording, however, the clip did not populate on the app.

There was NO power outages prior to this issue occurring.

It just seem the cam lost its ability to record  There are NO error messages and the "REC" image is present.

I have already reset equipment multiple times,

My interent connection is good.  Gigabit Download/ 40mb upload

Any ideas?   Luckily, the cam is under warranty.    I just did notwant to spend my Sat with this if possible.

Probably a rate code issue, not necessarily a camera issue. I would try customer service again before tech comes and ask to check rate codes.

Thanks for the reply.. During the reps TS, she checked all that and it was ok.   Oddly enough, I had a camer do something similar to this several months ago  (older Camera.. Possible the Icam ..  Was the first camera to support 24/7 recording)..  It also turned out to be a camera issue

I have (3) Amcrest WIFI cameras on my network, they keep dropping off of my network. I have them set for static IPs, I've tried changing WIFI channels multiple times, I have good signal strength, I have no idea why these keep dropping. I replaced one camera with a known good camera, it was online for 3 years at my parents house with no issue, within 3 days it dropped offline. All thyree cameras do thsi same thing and its random. When I cycle power, the cameras come back online. Whatever it is, its my network and not the cameras. Any ideas?

Contact the manufacturer, this is for Comcast cameras, not privately owned ones

The reason that I posted here is because WiFi is WiFi, no matter whose camera it is. Static IPs assigned to cameras should not just quit working randomly. This issue is obviously an Xfinity router issue. We have the exact same cameras on an Xfinity WiFi network elsewhere and it works just fine.

Today Xfinity upgraded my modem firmware, they weren’t sure why it didn’t auto update on its own already. After they upgraded, the cameras started randomly going offline. Within an hour the modem crashed altogether and cycling power or a reset from Xfinity won’t bring it back!

I picked up a new router at lunchtime that is a newer version with hopes that this will resolve the issue.
