Bad motion sensor

My motion sensor is constantly causing a false alarm. It detects motion every 10-30 minutes even though there is none. I don’t have any pets and the curtain on the window is nailed down. Recently I noticed my motion sensor sensitivity is over 200% and it changes on its on from time to time but always over 100%.
Could this be the problem? And if so, how do I change the sensitivity?

Hello, @user_77f44b You may want to check

  • areas in front of fans, air conditioners, heating vents for light, and movable objects.
  • Make sure windows and doors are tightly closed.

Also, have you received a low-battery alert and need to replace the batteries by chance? You could also try resetting the motion sensor following these instructions https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/reset-xhs1-ty-motion-sensor with these models. Let us know if the sensitivity issue is resolved.
