Zero chat security/accountability

I am pretty sure I was involved in an attempt to steal my information. I was asking for billing assistance, speaking with an xfinity chat agent (through xfinity webpage) and in the process, a random screen with a Halloween video appeared that was not a part of my browser but a running program on my computer. This was not a program of mine. I quickly tried to force shut it down, not knowing what it was, and the agent then proceeded to tell me I needed to leave any background applications running for chat purposes. LOL. REALLY?!? I then turned my computer in airplane mode, hoping I was safe, and restarted. When I returned to the chat, to hopefully get someone else, I noticed my chat window was still showing the history of the old chat. I attempted to download the chat history, figures, "chat transcript was unable to download at this time"

Xfinity needs to be held accountable for hiring these help centers with zero security and theft.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL CONSUMERS.

Hello, @user_cz1wn2 Sorry to hear you experienced a situation that made you feel as though your online security was compromised. Have you checked your computer for any viruses to explain that odd Halloween video? We offer this support article here to help protect our customers from identity theft.

This was directly related to the chat. After closing the running program, the agent commented on leaving programs running in the background. Zero viruses detected, running programs aren't viruses. But I appreciate your suggestions and article on fraud submission.

@user_xgig100 You're welcome! Customer account security is our #1 priority. Have a look at the article and update the forum. I recommend using the CSA link that is included in that article to start an investigation with our Customer Security Assurance Team. They are the experts who can find out if there was a breach that occurred in the chat.
