yes network

If Comcast does not have a deal with the Gotham app, why can I not stream the game from the xfinity stream app unless I am at home? This is extemely unfair. If you guys are not going to allow costomers use the Gotham app we should be able to stream Yankee games from anywhere. I'm really upset and considering dropping xfinity...

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_kudhln! There are in-home and out-of-home channels on the Xfinity Stream app. This article here goes over the list of channels.

Due to licensing agreements, some content can only be viewed while connected to your in-home WiFi. For more information on how it all works, we have this dedicated page here.

I truly believe this is because contract has not been renewed between YES network and Xfinity. This channel is going to get dropped and I am livid. There’s a scroll at the bottom of YES channel during the game saying it’s time to switch if we want to watch YES channel. Where I live there is no other option. Very upsetting.

Xfinity, we pay extreme money for cable and internet. You better not stop carrying YES network. So many I channels I pay for, I don't even watch but YES network is one my family watches all the time. Make the deal.

It [Edited: "Language"] that they just drop channels without any notices. [Edited: "Solicitation"] is beginning to look good again.

My Mom is 91 years old.  She loves the Yankees and watches every day.  She doesn't have a computer, cellphone, or streaming.  She is beside herself hearing she won't be able to see the Yankees anymore except the few games on FS1, Fox, and MLB. She's is in a depression as it is. I love them, too, and can't afford $80+ to get them on streaming.  [Edited: "Inflammatory"] Meet the price and bring the Yankees back on cable, even if the cost goes up. Everyone can't do streaming.

Watching today’s game and seeing that the YES network will be dropped is more than infuriating. Having worked in the media business on contract renewals I know this is a money disagreement that puts the subscribers in the middle and meant to inflict as much pain as possible. With a brand and fan base as strong as the Yankees this will ultimately hurt Xfinity the most as subscribers leave in droves. But it will still be painful for Yankees fans particularly given baseball’s ridiculous blackout restrictions. Xifinity please stop the madness and get a deal done now!

I can't believe it! Do not drop the YES network. Our family watches every Yankee game, we are die hard fans!!! Both YES and Comcast each make enough money, don't be greedy, just get the deal done! We pay enough for cable and we shouldn't be put in the middle of their contract disagreement. They are greedy and we'll be the ones who get hurt. Maybe, I'll check out DISH or Direct TV.

Hello, @ltbfla

We consider many options based on our customers' diverse interests and offering a wide variety of quality channels that everyone enjoys. Each channel is chosen based on factors like:

  • Contractual agreements with the programmer to carry a channel.

We have to pay for almost every channel we carry, including new networks that launch, so we're careful about adding channels that could increase customers’ bills due to the fees charged by the owners of the channels. We try to make agreements that give our customers the content they want at a price that is reasonable.

Money hungry!!! Xfinity seems to get worse and worse.  This is the last straw.  If they remove the Yes network under our $300+ plan....its time to seriously think of changing.   I always just thought "whatever " as long as i get the Yes network.   They will be losing alot of customers

Ill just buy the gotham package and drop all extra <Edited: Language> i get just to see the Yes network.   Its a monarchy!!! We dont get fios here and Xfinity knows they have some ppl cornered

I will no longer subscribe to Xfinity if you drop the YES network. And I have the whole bundle package - tv, interenet, phone and mobile.

There are a lot of channels that have way fewer viewers that you could drop. The Yankees are popular, and you will lose alot of customers, myself included, if you stop providing the YES netwoerk.

Renegotiate the YES contract ASAP.  My mom who is 97 pays almost $300 for this service and she watches every Yankee game plus the postgame.  The Yankees are keeping her alive.  Just do the right thing and get this done before Midnight tomorrow.  Thank you.

Do not drop YES. Make the deal. You get enough from subscribers already. Get rid of the music channels.

user_da0wij Hello, and thank you for reaching out to Xfnity via our Community Forums. Hi there! I understand you're concerned about the YES Network, and believe me, I get it. Nobody wants to miss their favorite team's games! We're currently in negotiations with the YES Network to keep it available for our Xfinity customers. We've actually extended the deadline to March 31, 2025, to give us more time to work things out. We know how important the Yankees and Nets are to many people, and we're really doing our best to find a solution that's fair for everyone. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this – we're hoping for a positive outcome!
